INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana State Department of Health says it has a new Ebola hotline number for the hearing impaired.
The agency announced Monday the opening of a hotline where health representatives can answer questions regarding symptoms, screening and diagnosis of Ebola.
The regular call center telephone number is (877) 826-0011, and the hearing impaired can call (888) 561-0044. The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. EDT.
Ebola is spread only through direct contact with blood or body fluids of someone infected with the disease. Symptoms include fever, headache, joint and muscle pain, weakness, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, lack of appetite and abnormal bleeding.
