Man shot on near northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A passerby found a man shot early Tuesday morning on the near northeast side of Indianapolis, police at the scene said.

The person who called 911 said they drove by and saw the man standing in the street. Shortly after, the person heard gunshots and turned around, finding the man lying in the street with gunshot wounds. It happened around 6 a.m. near East 36th Street and Euclid Avenue.

The man’s medical condition wasn’t immediately known, but police at the scene indicate the man was badly hurt. He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
