PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Plainfield police officers had a unique morning Tuesday as they tried to corral six horses.

Someone called the Plainfield Police Department around 5 a.m. after seeing six horses on Ronald Reagan Parkway, headed toward U.S. 40, according to a Facebook post on the Plainfield Police Department’s page.

The horses were causing traffic problems, so officers worked together to corral the horses and get them in a barn. Then, they worked to track down the owners. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
