Food Network’s Alton Brown visits Indy eateries

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Food Network’s Alton Brown was in Indy Sunday for his Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour. Brown visited several local eateries too, according to his Twitter.

Brown started the morning off Sunday by asking his Twitter followers where to eat in Indy. He used the hashtags

He started the morning with coffee at Lulu’s Coffee + Bakehouse on 86th Street. 

Brown then continued on to Long’s Bakery for some doughnuts and cinnamon fries.

From there, he headed to Your Local Deli & Market where he tried the mushroom soup and a Reuben sandwich.

Brown then ordered a Slaughthouse Five pizza, which comes with pepperoni, Italian sausage, sliced steak, ham and bacon, at Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza on E. Washington Street.

His last stop was at St. Elmo Steak House downtown where he sampled their spicy cocktail sauce.

Brown has hosted numerous food series including Iron Chef America. He currently hosts the game show Cutthroat Kitchen and is a mentor and judge on Food Network Star. He also created, produced, and hosted the series Good Eats for 13 years on Food Network.

Brown’s show starts at 7 p.m. Sunday at Butler’s Clowes Memorial Hall.
