Police investigate report of shots fired outside Lafayette showclub

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – Police said nobody was injured after an altercation involving several people outside of a Lafayette showclub.

According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers responded to a shots fired report in the back parking lot of Danzers, located at 3481 McCarty Lane, at 1:53 a.m. Sunday.

A man told police he had been shot during a fight. Officers detained several possible suspects involved in the fight at the scene.

There were no injuries from gunshots, according to police; but a person involved in the fight was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Officers at the scene found evidence that a gun was discharged and a handgun was recovered.

As of Sunday night, no arrests have been made.
