Fire damages two homes on city’s near north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fire heavily damaged two homes on the city’s near north side early Friday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 2400 block of Broadway Street shortly after 3 a.m.

One home was already fully involved in flames and the fire had spread to the house next door.

Fire crews battled heavy flames and icy conditions for nearly an hour and a half.

Firefighters say both houses were vacant. No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $200,000 for both houses.
