SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) – Speedway’s Main Street roundabout will be open for business starting at 5 a.m. Monday.
On Sunday, the town held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the progress. Vintage cars, Indy cars and local 18-haulers were the first to take it for a spin.
The roundabout was eight years in the making and is now one of the largest roundabouts in the state.
It’s part of a multi-million dollar renovation by the Speedway Redevelopment Council of the 400 acres south of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
