INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Colts players had Tuesday off but the front office was very busy signing a big name to its roster.
The Colts picked up return specialist Josh Cribbs on Tuesday. Cribbs has returned eight kickoffs and three punts for touchdowns in his career. Cribbs played eight seasons with Cleveland Browns. The Colts worked Cribbs out last week and Pagano told WISH-TV Sports Director Anthony Calhoun this was a move the team had to make.
“We’re trying to win a Super Bowl. We need to take care of business obviously and win the division and get in the tournament but we feel like this is a guy who is a special, special talent and when we worked him out he’s in great shape. He’s got his legs underneath him, he’s healthy, he’s hungry. He’s determined to get back on the football field and show everybody that he still has something to give. So with that championship mind set involved and Josh being available we felt like this was a great opportunity.”
Cribbs and the Colts will be in action on Sunday at home against Jacksonville. Kick off is at 1 p.m. on WISH-TV.
