One person dies in Shelbyville fire

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Firefighters found one person dead after responding to a fire at a house in Shelbyville Tuesday morning.

Shelbyville Fire Department went to the home in the 800 block of Fourth Street around 8:42 a.m. Tuesday. Family members outside of the home said someone was still inside.

Firefighters found someone in the house, and that person was pronounced dead. The fire department did not name the victim Tuesday afternoon.

The home was badly damaged in the fire.
