Second standoff with police prompts SWAT call out

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Just a couple hours after one standoff ended, Metro Police were called to a second situation where a person refused to come out of a home.

The second incident happened on Five Points Road just north of East Thompson Road.

Officers responded to a report of a fight at the home around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived officers say a man refused to come out. SWAT officers were called when they learned there were children inside.

Police say the man surrendered to police about two hours later.
