INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Firefighters in Indianapolis are investigating how a garage caught fire overnight on the city’s west side.

Around midnight, an officer in the area of the 3400 block of Georgetown Road saw a garage on fire.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out before it spread to the home. Officials say the garage is a total loss, but there were no cars inside.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
