Excise officers arrest, cite 22 people across Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana excise officers cited or arrested 22 people in Terre Haute and Evansville over the weekend.

Police said six people were cited on Friday night in Terre Haute, near Indiana State University. William H. Millspaugh, 18, of Farmersburg, was pulled over after not using his turn signal. Excise said officers found marijuana inside the vehicle.

Millspaugh faces multiple charges, including: operating a motor vehicle with a schedule one or two substance in the blood, operating while endangering, possession of marijuana, iIllegal transportation of an alcoholic beverage and operating without ever receiving a driver’s license.

According to excise officers, in Evansville, 16 people were arrested or cited on Friday and Saturday for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol.

Another 10 people were arrested Saturday night for charges that included public intoxication, possession of marijuana and traffic related offenses. Police said three of those people were issued summonses.
