Indy gas prices continue to drop

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Monday is definitely the day to fill up your gas tank.

At last check, some of the lowest prices were on West 16th and also down in Franklin with stations between $2.43 and $2.60.

The average price in Indianapolis is $2.72, down 16 cents from last Monday.

Overnight the National Lundberg Survey said prices are down an average 10 cents over the last two weeks. They’re down 88 cents since May.

One reason for the drop is the plummeting price of oil. But that could change.

This Thursday, OPEC leaders will meet in Vienna to consider cutting oil production in order to boost prices.

24-Hour News 8 will keep tracking prices this week. Stay up to date here. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
