ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A man in an Anderson barbershop was shot and killed early Thursday morning, and an employee was beaten, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner, The Herald Bulletin, reports.
Police tell the newspaper the violent encounter happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday. Three men were in the barbershop, with one of them getting an after-hours haircut. Two men came to the front door, but the barbershop owner indicated he was closed. They went away but came back, busting through the front door and demanding money.
The man getting a haircut, 24-year-old Brandon Boone, began moving toward the bathroom when one of the man shot him in the back. The barbershop employee was beaten with a baseball bat. The barbershop’s owner ran and took cover across the street. When the men left, he went back and found Boone had stumbled outside. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Police had made no arrests as of Thursday night.
