NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The Humane Society of Hamilton County lowered its adoption fees in hopes that Black Friday shoppers stop by.

The Noblesville shelter says around 80 animals have been dropped off over the last few weeks.

The Humane Society says many owners surrender their pets around the holidays because they can’t find a place to keep the pet when traveling.

The adoption fees included spaying or neutering the animal, a microchip and a round of vaccines. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
