INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Detectives in Indianapolis arrested three people after two armed robberies were reported on the city’s northwest side early Friday morning.
Around midnight, officers got a 911 call about a residential robbery at an apartment in the 5300 block of Buttercup Lane. The victims told police four men forced entry into the home and were armed with guns. Police say the men stole two vehicles belonging to the victims and then took off.
Around the same time, police got another 911 call about an armed robbery on Buttercup Lane. That victim told police four men armed with guns robbed them.
There were no injuries reported in either robbery.
Officers searched the area and found two vehicles in the 3300 block of Tara Lane. Those vehicles matched the descriptions of the ones taken in the first robbery.
Police say they also noticed some men at a nearby apartment by the vehicles. After seeing the officers, police say the men went inside the apartment and turned off the lights. They later came out of the building and were detained. Detectives spoke with those individuals early Friday morning.
Officers arrested Tevin Orr, 20, Quentin Glasper, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile male in connection with the robberies. All three were preliminarily charged with robbery.
Formal and additional charges may be added after a review by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, according to IMPD.
