TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Indiana State Police troopers said two people were taken to a Lafayette hospital Sunday afternoon following a crash on Interstate 65.

The crash involved four cars and happened just before 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes, near the State Road 43 exit.

Troopers said they’re still not sure what caused the crash, but said driver error plus congested interstate traffic may be to blame.

Two people received minor injuries and were transported to IU Health Arnett Hospital.

State police are continuing to investigate the crash and ask drivers to be cautious as they head home this holiday weekend. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
