Arrests made in assault of taxi driver

FRANKFORT, Ind. (WISH) – Frankfort police have arrested two people in connection with the November 23rd assault on taxi driver Franklin Hornsby.

Police say several leads and an intense investigation led them to arrest 22 year old Brenda Garcia and 19 year old Nellie King, both are Frankfort residents.

They have been charged with Attempted Robbery, Aggravated Battery, and Battery with a deadly weapon.  Garcia faces an additional charge of strangulation.

Garcia and King are being held in the Clinton County Jail.

73-year-old Franklin Hornsby was found near Eighth and Boone streets with severe facial injuries.
