IMPD searching for suspect involved in attempted bank robbery

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are searching for a suspect involved in a Chase Bank attempted robbery.

IMPD was dispatched around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday to the Chase Bank in the 200 block of East 38th Street.

A victim told police the suspect approached the teller and handed over a note demanding cash. The note also said he was armed. The suspect left the bank after the teller asked for his identification.

The suspect did not get away with any cash. The description of the suspect was limited, but police say he was a black male, wearing a grey sweatshirt with a black T-shirt over it with a picture of four different colored drinks on it.
