KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – A suspect charged with the murder of a Kokomo man had his charges dismissed following a plea agreement.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s news partners at the Kokomo Tribune, Anthony Dunn, 21, took the plea deal last week and plead guilty to the charges of felony attempted armed robbery in exchange for the murder charges.

The judge will decide on Dunn’s sentence.

Dunn was charged with the Aug. 30, 2013 murder of Robert Patmon, 32. Patmon’s body was found lying in Longview Drive between Sycamore and Walnut streets.

Police say Patmon and Dunn were attempting to rob a store in the 600 block of East Mulberry Street, and at some point Dunn shot Patmon in the torso.

Dunn will be sentenced on Jan. 13. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
