INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A little boy’s wish to be part of the Greatest Show on Earth came true in Fishers Wednesday.
The circus came to his house!
5-year-old Carter Marks was recently diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery this summer and had to have his liver, a kidney and appendix removed. But, he still had dreams of being a ringmaster at the circus.
The circus decided to bring that dream to life, by surprising Carter with a circus themed bedroom–complete with all new furniture, a circus mural, and a play area.
“A lot of times it’s just chaos and just holding on day by day. It is our own little circus. So, for them to have a day that’s organized not by us, but by another group to go and have fun and forget about what’s going on,” said Carter’s father Jeremy Marks
The big reveal came after Carter and his family spent the day watching the circus set up at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse.
The room makeover was done by Special Spaces, a non-profit for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
