INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Witnesses say a driver ran away after hitting a parked car early Wednesday.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. near East New York and North LaSalle streets, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said..
Witnesses told police the driver of a black KIA hit a parked PT Cruiser, shearing off a front tire.
The witness said the black car spun around, lost control and came to a stop.
Police say the passenger was injured and taken to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
Witnesses said the driver also appeared to be injured but was last seen running from the scene.
A section of East New York Street was shut down while crews cleaned up the debris from the crash.
