Fishers gas main break prompts evacuations

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — A Fishers restaurant was evacuated Thursday evening after a gas main break.

Dispatchers in Hamilton County said around 5:45 p.m. that a construction crew working outside of the Nickel Plate Bar and Grill at 116th Street and Municipal Drive hit a 3-inch main.

The business was evacuated and residents were asked to avoid the area.

No injuries were reported.
