INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Steve Bray, WISH-TV news director, announces the addition of Meteorologist Eboni Deon to the WISH-TV Storm Track 8 Team.
“From local television in Orlando, to Atlanta, where she worked at CNN and the Weather Channel, Eboni brings experience, knowledge and her passion for weather back home to Indiana and to WISH-TV,” said Bray.
Eboni joins WISH-TV’s 24-Hour News 8 as meteorologist for its 6:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. weekend newscasts.
“I’m thrilled to be moving back to my home state and going to work for the station I grew up watching,” said Deon. “I look forward to being part of a team with a weather coverage reputation like WISH-TV.”
After graduating from North Central High School, in Indianapolis, Eboni went on to study meteorology at Jackson State University. Upon graduation, her first job as a meteorologist was with the National Weather Networks, in Jackson, Mississippi; providing weathercasts for stations in Atlanta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Miami, Florida and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Eboni completed her Master of Science degree in Geosciences, with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology, at Mississippi State University, while working as a meteorologist for The Weather Channel. She later anchored The Weather Channel’s “Weekend Outlook,” and worked as a meteorologist for CNNI. In 2010, Eboni moved further south to work for WFTV and WRDQ, in Orlando, Florida.
Eboni and her husband have two small children, ages three and five. She will make her WISH-TV debut, this weekend, on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.
