Allstate has some exciting news to share about job growth in our area. Allstate is hiring 10 new agency owners in Indianapolis.
Being an Allstate agency owner means a lot to Jamie Sullivan, Allstate Sales Leader and Mary Huntington, an Allstate agency owner. They have good information and advice for anyone thinking about a career in insurance.
Allstate agency owners help customers protect what is most important in their lives – their families, homes and possessions. As small business owners, they run an agency of at least three employees. We have agents that come from many different backgrounds, so don’t think that you need to have insurance knowledge. You also don’t necessarily need finance or business experience to be a successful Allstate agency owner.
Insurance is a very reliable industry – it’s something people always need. As an agency owner, you have support from sales leaders who are there to help you succeed. You also have branded marketing and in-house education to help.
There are benefits to becoming an Allstate agent. Agency owners are able to leverage one of America’s most recognized brands without ever having to pay a franchise or licensing fee. The capital invested in the business will go directly toward the success of that agency. Allstate is unique among all other insurers because its exclusive agents own the economic interest in the business they write from day one. So, that means they can sell the economic interest in their agency.
Giving back to the community is an important aspect of being an Allstate agency owner. There is a grant program where any nonprofit a local agent volunteers at can receive a $1,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation.
Community events are held throughout the year. This summer Allstate brought a driving simulator to the Indiana State Fair to show people the dangers of texting and driving and visited PBS Kids in the Park to help families build disaster preparedness kits, which is something everyone is encouraged to have.
