SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A Shelbyville soldier surprised his wife at the hospital after their twin boys were born seven weeks early.
Rachael Larner said her brother, Brian Larner, Jr., was able to surprise his wife, Melody, late Saturday night. Larner had been in Kuwait for eight months working in an Army engineering unit before he was granted leave.
The couple named the twins Maverick and Blade.
They also have a son named Nicholas, who is 4 years old. On Sunday, Larner surprised him by wrapping up as a present next to the family Christmas tree.
Larner is now home for two weeks before he has to go back to Kuwait.
