INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The victim of one of Monday night’s deadly shootings was identified by police Tuesday afternoon.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say 28-year-old Tyrone Lewis was found dead near 32nd and Stations streets.
Police responded to the area of a person down and found Lewis had been shot to death around 6:20 p.m.
Police are still investigating a second shooting on the east side were the victim showed up at Community East Hospital with a gunshot wound to his hip and chest. That victim told police he was shot near East 28th Street and North Sherman Drive.
A third shooting on Monday night on Roache and Martin Luther King streets is still under investigation. The victim from that shooting died while in surgery Monday night.
Police say it is not clear if the shootings are related.
