INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An east side intersection was closed Tuesday morning while police investigated a suspicious bag, police dispatchers said.
Officers responded to 21st Street and Shadeland Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. after a passerby found a white bag under a bridge.
Police say there was a high-pitched, electrical sound coming from the bag. The bomb squad was called in to investigate.
21st Street and Franklin Road was blocked until around 8:30 a.m. Police determined the contents in the bag were harmless. The bag was full of security tags from stolen clothes.
