Lapel police seek veteran grave, school vandal

LAPEL, Ind. (WISH) – The Lapel police department is currently looking for the person responsible for destruction to an elementary school and graves of two veterans.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partner paper, the Herald Bulletin, and the Lapel Police Department, a spray-painted wall and playground equipment was discovered at Lapel Elementary School on Friday.

The same individual is also believed to be responsible for knocking over the headstones of two Air Force veterans on Monday.

Lapel Police Department does not have any suspects at this time.
