INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Department of Public Works said trash pick-up schedules will be on a sliding schedule for the holiday season.

On Christmas Day there will be no trash pick-up causing Thursday’s pick up day to slid to Friday. Friday’s collections will be picked up on Saturday. Routes should run as normal on Dec. 29th.

For New Year’s Day there will be no trash pick-up on Thursday. The pick-up days will be the same as Christmas. Normal trash days will resume on Jan. 5th.

Residents can dispose of trees by taking them to the curb during the month of January. Trees must be cut and bundled in 3-4 foot sections with all decorations removed. The community cannot drop-off trees at Indy Park sites like in the past.

Trees can also be picked up on resident’s regular heavy trash days.
