AVON, Ind. (WISH) — Avon police detectives are investigating whether or not a robbery at a local gas station Christmas Eve is connected to one in Danville.

Officers with the Avon Police Department responded to the Marathon Express Gas Station, located at 7065 East US 36, around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a man armed with a knife got away with cash and fled the scene on foot.

Detectives said they were planning to look at surveillance video to see if there is a connection to a Danville gas station robbery. Police said there are similarities in both incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
