Police: Alcohol may be factor in east side crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in a serious crash on the city’s near east side Saturday night.

The crash happened near the intersection E. Michigan and N. Lasalle Streets around 10:12 p.m.

Police said two adults were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both are reported to be in stable condition.

Two children were also in the car, along with another adult. All three of those passengers were uninjured, according to police.

An officer at the scene of the crash told 24-Hour News 8 that the kids’ child restraints “did their job.”

Officers at the scene said alcohol is believe to be a factor in the crash.
