INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Butler University has named an interim men’s basketball coach its new head coach.

Butler officials had named Chris Holtmann the interim head coach in October while head coach Brandon Miller took medical leave. The university said Friday that Miller will not return from medical leave.

Holtmann becomes the new head coach, serving as the 23rd head coach for the Butler Bulldogs.

Butler would not comment specifically on Miller’s medical leave, citing privacy concerns.
