Chicago-bound flight lands at IND for on-board emergency

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An American Airlines flight was diverted to Indianapolis Friday afternoon after an on-board emergency.

According to officials at the Indianapolis International Airport, the flight was flying from Atlanta to Chicago. It diverted to IND after losing both air data computers.

The plan landed safely in Indianapolis around 2:45 p.m. There were 65 passengers on board. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
