INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The countdown to kickoff is on. The Colts take on the Bengals Sunday in Indianapolis in the first playoff game of the season.
The Colts say they need their fans and they have events planned all weekend.
24-Hour News 8 spoke with one veteran linebacker about the winner-take-all experience of the playoffs and the pressure that comes with that.
“That’s why I play the game. This is why I play and especially having the opportunity to be here. You look around you, there are banners everywhere, here, at the indoor facility, the locker room, so there’s constant reminders of, ‘We win here.’ I love that. I love that because what else would get you through the dog days if you didn’t love what you were doing, if you didn’t want to be in these types of situations,” Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson said.
The weekend started with a playoff poster drive through on Monument Circle Friday.
At noon Friday, you can head to the food court at the Circle Centre Mall downtown for a Blue Friday Pep Rally. There, you can get your Colts playoff poster and have the chance to meet running back Ahmad Bradshaw. The first 1,000 fans receive a Colts rally towel.
Even if you don’t have tickets for Sunday’s game, the Colts are bringing back their Touchdown Town in front of Lucas Oil Stadium. From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, there will be live music, food trucks and drink specials.
