Winter weather advisory begins overnight

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Counties in the northern part of Central Indiana will be under a winter weather advisory starting at 3 a.m. Saturday.

Overnight freezing rain could cause roads to be slick. Indianapolis Department of Public Works and Indiana Department of Transportation plan to have trucks out to salt the roads.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory which runs until 9 a.m. for the following counties:

  • Benton
  • Carroll
  • Warren
  • Tippecanoe
  • Clinton
  • Howard
  • Fountain
  • Montgomery
  • Boone
  • Tipton
  • Hamilton
  • Madison
  • Delaware
  • Randolph
  • Henry
  • White
  • Cass
  • Miami
  • Wabash
  • Huntington
