INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Central Indiana police say they have arrested a man in connection to a handful of robberies that happened at the end of December.
IMPD, Fishers Police , Bloomington Police, Indiana State Police and the FBI arrested 50-year-old Arnold Jones of Bloomington.
Detectives identified Jones as the suspect in connection to the following robberies:
- Fifth Third Bank on Dec. 27, 2014 at 5075 West Washington Street
- Boost Mobile/American Money Check Cashing on Dec. 27, 2014 at 4308 West Washington Street
- PNC Bank on Dec. 29, 2014 at 4355 East 10th Street
- Fifth Third Bank on Dec. 31, 2014 at 5075 West Washington Street
Police arrested Jones after he was apprehended and questioned on Jan. 2. On Tuesday the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged Jones with two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery, and one count of armed robbery. He was transported to the Marion County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Police say Jones also faces possible charges in Hamilton County and Monroe County for robbery.
Fishers Police said Monday afternoon that Jones was arrested in connection to an armed robbery that happened at a Key Bank in the 7400 block of East 116th Street New Year’s Eve.
