20 people displaced after west side apartment fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Firefighters battled the frigid cold Tuesday afternoon as they worked to put out a fire at a west side apartment complex.

It happened at the Pangea Meadows Apartments, located in the 5500 block of Scarlet Terrance, around 3:15 p.m.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says it’s unclear what caused the apartment fire, which left $350,000 in damages.

Twenty people were displaced but no injuries were reported. The Red Cross responded to the scene to help those in need of temporary housing.
