Colts players, Irsay react to disappointment in Foxborough

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WISH) – The Indianapolis Colts ended their 2014-2015 season with a 45-7 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship.

Players and other members of the Colts organization spoke to WISH-TV’s Anthony Calhoun and Chris Widlic after the game.

Colts owner Jim Irsay said, “It’s a major disappointment but what a great season. We improved and we got to the AFC Championship game, winning the division, winning 11 games, especially after starting 0-2, it was just a great year.”

Linebacker Jonathan Newsome said, “It really just comes down to the fundamentals, making the tackle when you have to and getting off the field on third downs. You just have to give ’em credit, they outplayed us.”

Defensive tackle Art Jones said, “I’m proud of everybody, every man on this team. Everyone fought hard. I said don’t lay your head down, we gave it our all. Obviously the ball didn’t bounce our way”
