Altercation, stabbing leaves person critically hurt

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A person is in critical condition after being stabbed inside a home in the 2400 block of South Anthony Boulevard Monday evening.

Fort Wayne police were dispatched to the home around 9:30 p.m.

Police said several people were inside the home when an altercation took place. It’s not clear what led to the argument or how many people were involved.

One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but the victim was downgraded to critical condition by hospital staff.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Police said another person suffered a very minor cut.

Detectives interviewed people inside the house at police headquarters. It’s unclear if any of the people being questioned were considered suspects.

No arrests have been made.
