INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Bacon is on menus everywhere these days. It is so popular, Indianapolis is holding its the First Annual Baconfest.
Your Indiana Pork Farmers and WNDE, a local sports radio station, sponsored plenty of bacon dishes at The Crane Bay at 551 West Merrill Street.
The porky festival sold out days before the event on Saturday that ran from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Restaurants including Thunderbird, Drake’s, Union 50, Scarlet Wine and Whiskey Bar and Georgia Reese’s, along with many others, will be bringing their take on bacon-inspired foods to the fest.
Tickets allowed for four free vendor food samples and one free drink. Additional food and drinks were available to purchase at the festival.
