Man arrested after burglary, partner still on loose

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — Police are still searching for one suspect, and have arrested another, following a burglary in Columbus Thursday morning.

According to the Columbus Republic, police arrested Dustten J. Hitch, 20, following a brief car chase. Hitch and the other suspect fled on foot after crashing their car into a pile of bricks.

The chase began after the owner of the home police say Hitch and his accomplice burglarized called police. The other suspect has not been identified.

Hitch was arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting law enforcement, and is being held in Bartholomew County Jail on $40,000 bond, according to the Republic. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
