Man gets 55 years in pizza delivery driver’s murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One of two men arrested in the murder of a pizza delivery driver in Indianapolis will spend the next five decades in prison.

Court documents note Derek Romano was sentenced to 55 years in the Department of Correction. He received just over a year of jail credit.

Officials say Romano and Jeremiah Roberts fled to Wyoming after the murder of John Sullivan. Police arrested them in Buffalo, Wyoming days later and brought them back to Indianapolis.

Sullivan’s body was found in the basement of an animal rescue. Officers say his co-workers called police when he did not return from a delivery.
