Vehicle flips, catches fire in weekend wreck

COLUMBUS,Ind. (WISH) – A wreck over the weekend in Columbus sent three people to the hospital.

The Columbus Police Department said a car driven by Cody Wooten veered of the roadway and then flipped.

Police say the vehicle then caught fire.  The Columbus Fire Department was able to put the fire out within a matter of minutes.

Wooten and two other passengers were able to exit the vehicle, but did sustain injuries.

The driver and one passenger was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital and later released.  The other passenger was taken another hospital.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
