INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Prosecutors have struck plea agreements with six former employees of a central Indiana dental clinic in connection with a Medicaid fraud investigation.
The Herald Bulletin reports dentist Paul Pangallo faces a March 30 sentencing hearing after pleading guilty to corrupt business influence and Medicaid fraud. Three other counts against him have been dropped.
Bryan Corbin, a spokesman for the Indiana Attorney General’s office, says two other dentists at the Anderson Dental Clinic, Thomas Dubois and Jeffrey Rich, have agreed to repay nearly $42,000 and $20,000, respectively. All criminal charges against them have been dropped.
Clinic employee Jessica Worrell has been sentenced to two years on probation after pleading guilty to two misdemeanors. Two other clinic employees also have accepted plea agreements.
