Jazz Kitchen and Yats partner for Mardi Gras fun

Hailed by many as “the party of the year,” Yats and The Jazz Kitchen are partnering on a Mardi Gras spectacular. The Funk Quarter Band will kick the night off, with live New Orleans party classics provided by the Indianapolis-based 8-piece powerhouse. DJ Rusty Redenbacher will be directing the dance floor with danceable gems from all eras. Party goers are encouraged to dress to impress, as a $100 prize will be given for the best costume. A Yats & Jazz Kitchen buffet is included in the ticket and food will be served from 7 – 11p.m. Those in attendance are encouraged to arrive early, as there will be a limited number of tables.

Yats Jambalaya is made with Sausage, Ham and Chicken and vegetables. The fats are cooked down and rice is added to the rich broth.

Add some oil to a large pot, add the meats, some garlic and brown it off.

Then add the vegetables and spices. Cook your rice in the broth and eat it with French Bread.

Jambalaya is best eaten fresh
