Indy hosts SoupFest
Sample from 20 of the best restaurants in Indy as they compete for the Best Soup in the City at this year’s Indy SoupFest.
SoupFest is coming up on Sunday, February 22nd and runs from 11 a – 4 p
Tickets are $8 Adults, Children 6 and under get in free and are available now online or at the door
A portion of each ticket goes to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana
Attendees are the judges some go for the taste and help support your favorites.
PLUS a Celebrity appearance by Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi, actor Larry Thomas (No soup for you!) who will be on site from 11:30 – 3:30

Saute down and add a little Sherry
Add leeks and allow them to cook down – rinse them well
Add homemade chicken stock, heavy cream and half and half
Butter, Garlic, Secret set of spices and white pepper
The mushrooms will cook down but you want to make sure you have mushroom pieces all the way through your soup.

Carrot Ginger Bisque with Cashew Cream – Vegan
Start with Carrots, add a Savory Vegetable broth and Fresh Ginger – gives is a nice tang and great for the digestion
Blend with an immersion blender.
To give is a creamy feel fold in Cashew Cream (Soak cashews in water over night then blend)
Salt and pepper to taste
