Indianapolis woman sentenced in drug trafficking

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Kathleen Ann Owens, 30, of Indianapolis was sentenced to over 22 years of prison time for trafficking methamphetamine.

Indiana State Police arrested Owens on Mar. 3, 2014, after a traffic stop lead them to find one pound of 95% pure methamphetamine. Police arrested her a second time on Mar. 22, 2014, after finding two more ounces of pure meth in her hotel room.

Owens pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

According to court documents, she was sentenced to 270 months of prison time, along with a $1,000 fine and three years of supervised release. Her release will subject her to random drug testing and random searches of her body, vehicle and residence.
