Pike Township names new fire chief

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Pike Township Fire Department has a new fire chief.

According to a release, Pike Township Trustee Lula Patton named Robert Saunders as chief.

Patton accepted the resignation of former Chief Robert Smith on Wednesday.

Chief Saunders has been with the Pike Township Fire Department for 23 years. He has been their Division Chief of Emergency Medical Services and Deputy Chief of Emergency Operations.
