Driver arrested for resisting law enforcement, drug possession

PUTNAM COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) –  An Indianapolis man was pulled over and arrested in Putnam County yesterday.

Indiana State Police stopped a black GMC SUV traveling nearly 20 miles over the posted speed limit.

According to police, the officer detected the smell of marijuana coming from Tyler Cochran’s vehicle.  Cochran also showcased several signs of impairment.

Police say Cochran disobeyed commands from the officer throughout the search process.  He then refused to submit to a test for intoxication.

Police found a substance with less than two grams of THC.

Cochran was taken to the Putnam County Jail on charges of possession of hashish, resisting law enforcement, and operating vehicle while intoxicated with prior conviction-refusal.
